D is for Dancing - Top dances

Hey!
sorry about the late post, i had some technical difficulties.
This week, the theme is "D is for Dancing". The post will have my top dances of the past few years. It will feature music videos, how-to videos, and interesting facts about different dances. There have been other dances that have made it big recently, but I'm only doing my favorite, or the ones that I could get information on.

The first dance is a dance/song what went viral. It is called "The Harlem Shake". The internet meme came after the song, "The Harlem Shake" by Baauer. Here is the most official music video I can find. This video also features Baauer himself.

According to Wikipedia:
"The videos usually last about 30 seconds and feature part of the 2012 song "Harlem Shake" by American electronic musician Baauer. Baauer's song starts with a 15 seconds intro, a bass drop, then 15 seconds with the bass, and a lion roar at the end of the first 30 seconds. Usually, a video begins with one person (often helmeted or masked) dancing to the song alone for 15 seconds, surrounded by other people not paying attention or seemingly unaware of the dancing individual. When the bass drops, the video cuts to the entire crowd doing a crazy convulsive dance for the rest of the video. The dancing style should not be confused with the original Harlem Shake dance. Additionally, in the second half of the video, people often wear either a minimum of clothes or crazy outfits or costumes while wielding strange props.Typically, but not always, the video will end by converting to slow motion on the lion growl."
 Here are a few examples:

Note: the guy falling out of the window in the top-right of the screen

Note: the guy in the sleeping bag on the very left of the screen at the front.

Note: This is one dog (called Kiwi) that has been filmed many times and merged into one video.

A group of miners in Western Australia got in trouble for doing a Harlem Shake video at work! In the end, the miners got sacked!! What do you think? Was that unfair? Here is the original video:

Here is a quick news report from Today Tonight about the incident:

The next dance I will talk about is featured in a music video called "Watch Out For This (Bumaye)" by Major Lazer. I haven't been able to find an official name for the dance move.

Here is the music video, please excuse the twerking! :p

At 3:25 you see a woman in gold and black, and you see her do the base move. After seeing this small part of the video, if you watch the whole video you can see the base dance move in many of the dances.

For the last dance, I'm sure you all have heard of the song called "Gangnam Style" by and Korean man named PSY. Here is a video of a group of girls doing a dance to the song. The girls have called their group Waveya and they have also done a dance for PSY's new song, Gentleman. In my opinion, this should be the official dance for Gangnam Style. I must say, I do not know how they dance in such high heels! I guess this will remain a mystery to me! :)
Here it is:

I also have a video of Miley Cyrus "wopping" and "twerking"
The first dance move she does is "wopping". At 0:38 she is doing a dance move called "twerking"

Here is another example of "wopping". It show a guy "wopping" while doing the laundry!

I HAVE A SPECIAL SURPRISE FOR YOU!!! I would like to show you a video called "20 Dances to Try at Home" and it is by MisterEpicMann. ENJOY! :)

The next post will be out soon!
